Surprise visit || Anyone

Patrick nodded in reply, "That you will" he said to her in reply. Patrick kissed her cheek again after he said that to her. "Have a safe ride back" he added after pulling back from kissing her.

Helena smiled a little and nodded in reply. "I'll do my part of safe driving... fingers crossed the rest of those maniacs on the streets do theirs." she said, joking a little, then she turned and started to walk off to the stairs, still afraid to use elevators.
Shoot. I should do something about it... I'm so tried. But well... walking stairs might wake me up a little.

And with that thought in mind she walked down the stairs and was on her way home, thinking about what dress she would wear tonight.

Patrick nodded in reply when Helena said that to him. After she was gone, he went back into his apartment and locked the door. After getting back in, Patrick went back to his bed room and thought about what he was going to wear.

Helena walked down the stairs and got into her car. She had a smile plastered on her face as she turned on the engine and was on her way home, thinking about what she would wear tonight. She had a dress in mind that she hadn't worn in a long time, but she always loved for special occasions. She wanted to make an impression on him, so it would be perfect. Not too classy, yet not too casual either. Perfect for a date with him.
Helena got to her house a little while later. She parked the car on the driveway to the garage and got out, locking the car. Once inside Helena locked the door and walked upstairs to her bedroom. She was going to take a shower later when she woke up. She set her alarm clock at 5 PM just in case and then undressed, got into her PJs and went to get some sleep.

At the same time, Patrick rested up for a bit. As he did, he thought about what he and Helena would do tonight. A slight smile came to his face at the same time. A while later, he started to get dressed. He kept it simple, no need to go all out as this was just a causal date for him and Helena. After getting dressed, Patrick walked over to the couch and sat down, waiting for the right time to meet up with Helena.

Helena got up at about 4:30 PM, turned off the alarm clock she wouldn't need anymore and went to get a shower. She thought about the date she was going to have tonight and smiled. She would make herself pretty for him. She would do her hair, wear a beautiful dress and some decent make-up. Oh... and her favorite perfume.
Helena took her time getting ready for her date.

At the same time, Patrick was heading over to Helena's place to pick her up. While driving over, he wondered how Helena would look tonight. The thought brought a slight smile to his face as he drove. Discipline, Patrick, discipline he told himself as he headed down the street. A while later, he came up to Helena's place and pulled in so he could park. Patrick could not wait to see her.

Helena heard his car stop outside her house and walked downstairs. She was dressed in a dark purple dress with a brown leather belt around her waist. Nothing special really. They weren't going anywhere special anyway, so she didn't need to pick a more fency dress.
Her blond hair was loosely bouncing around her head in waves. She didn't want to put it up or into a pony tail. She wore decent make-up, again, nothing special.
Downstairs she slipped into her heels and grabbed the purse from the small sideboard near the door and was ready to head out. She grabbed a thin jacket for later tonight and went out of the door, locking her house behind her. She had a smile on her face when she locked the door.

Patrick saw her and smiled a bit while watching her lock up. "Very stylish Ms. Coleman." he said to her. It was clear that Patrick was impressed with how she looked. It took him back when they were in high school. He knew that Helena was a simple woman.......some even called her a "plain jane", but Patrick knew differently.

Helena knew about that image that she had back at High School. But back then she was a very strong Catholic. Her parents had raised her that way and she never was a fan of going with the trend just because everybody else did.
But if Helena wanted, she could dress up quite nicely, she just never felt the use of that in her daily life. And why should she waste so much time every day if simple did it, too?
Helena gave Patrick a smile as she walked toward him. Sure, she wore a simple dress and had her long, blond hair in loose waves, but it didn't mean that it wasn't beautiful. In fact, it worked better than dressing up and looking desperate.
"Thanks, Pat." she replied. His compliment meant a lot to her.

"You're most welcome Helena" Patrick said to her in reply as he opened the passenger side door of his car for her. It was clear that Patrick loved the way Helena looked and that he was glad to be with her. She's the one he said to himself as he watched her.

Helena smiled when she got into the car, after thanking him for being the gentleman he was, holding the door for her. She loved that trait very much, because finding a man like that wasn't easy and Helena was more than happy that he was that kind of man and that she had found him back in High School, although they weren't dating back then and she had given up on ever getting this close to him after he graduated. But maybe now she would have the chance to make her best of it.
He's the one I want to marry one day... just wonder if he knows? Or if he thinks the same about me?

After Helena was in the car, Patrick closed the door, then walked around the drivers side. After getting in and closing the door, he looked at Helena. "Helena......before we head out, I just wanted to tell you something..............you're the one I want to spend the rest of my life with." he said to her honestly as he watched her.

At first Helena was worried when he said he needed to tell her something, but after hearing what he wanted to say, she was speechless. So he did feel the same way about her. Considering the way he said it, it was actually as if he just proposed to her, although the setting wasn't quite as romantic as she had hoped it would be if he was to propose.
Proposal or not, Helena was glad to hear that, although she was still a bit speechless that he came right out and said it. Just like that.
"Well.... wow." was all that Helena could say right now. She didn't quite find the right words to tell him, although she could've said she felt the same way. But she was too surprised.

Patrick noticed the look in Helena's eyes when she said that to him. He then leaned over and kissed her cheek. He felt better to get that out into the open. There was no need for him to hold back anymore as to how he felt about Helena. Patrick was not about to let this moment slip away a second time.

Helena smiled and even blushed a little when he kissed her cheek.
She finally found her voice and her words back to reply something to his statement. She knew that she had to say something because if she didn't she might hurt his feelings and that was something Helena would never want to happen.
"I'm happy to hear you say that." she said with a soft smile.

Patrick nodded in reply as he pulled back from Helena, seeing the slight blush on her cheeks. "Is the good lady blushing?" he asked, smiling a bit at the same time. He didn't mind it though, to him it made her look a bit more beautiful.

"Nah, I'm just pretending." she replied as serious as she possibly could. She was teasing him, but she wanted to have her fun with that. After all, he knew the truth without having to ask. It was kinda silly to ask anyway. But with Patrick she would never mind.

Patrick smiled, then playfully tickled Helena before starting the car and pulling out. As he drove, Patrick took Helena's hand and gently closed his hand around her's. It was clear that he was happy to be with Helena. He would do anything to keep her safe.

Helena giggled a little, just because she was ticklish when he tickled her. But then she simply shook her head, smiling. She loved those tiny moments when they could just be themselves and have fun together. At work they just had to be so serious and concentrated and besides... work and real life was bitter and serious enough. She loved to laugh and have a good time whenever Helena could.

Like tonight - she would enjoy the time as much as possible.

Patrick was feeling the same way as he drove along.  He felt relived to have told Helena what he did.  At the same time, he was relived that she felt the same way and that she was happy to have heard him say that to her.  A while later, they got to the place in question for dinner.  After parking, Patrick got out and opened the passenger door for Helena.

Helena, knowing his manners, smiled a little bit to herself. Ever the gentleman, just like he always had been and just the way she loved him. It was the exact thing that made her fall for him back in High School and it was the same thing that made her fall for him now. 
"Ever the gentleman. Just how I like you." she said in a thankful and loving tone.

Patrick smiled a bit when Helena said that to him, then nodded, holding her hand at the same time.  "You're most welcome my dear." he replied while watching her.  If there was anything he remembered from his officer training it was the dances he went to so that he and his other officer candidates could work on their social skills.  He never told anyone, but he really liked that part of the officer course more then anything else.
