~Rules!~ Please read before joining!

Disclaimer: I own everyone in CSI, keeping them in a box under my bed. I let them all out regularly for exercise and for planned play-dates with each other. However Grissom and Dr Robbins need to be let out more often, otherwise their glasses will fog up.

Board Rules
These rules are subject to change without notice. Please check them regularly.

In order to be added to a group you have to write an Introduction of your character, using the model for an introduction that is given in the 'Introductions' section. Please make sure that your username is the name of your character. Every account that is not a character's name (first name and surname) will be deleted within 7 days. Every account will be deleted that has no introduction posted within 7 days will be deleted also.
We have a face claim. This means that if someone is already using a play-by, you may not use that person. All playbys must be famous. Meaning: no hand drawings, regular people, anime or cartoon characters.
There is no God-Mode on this RP.
Canon relationships are highly discouraged.
If you wish to have a shared account, let an admin know, and state who is sharing the character in the 'introduction'.
Registered characters cannot be killed, only injured.
You may have all the characters you want to have but they should all be active. Original characters must log on at least twice a week and post at least once during that week. Canon characters must log on at least three times a week and post twice (unless otherwise discussed with Staff).
If one of your characters stops being active (no activity for several months or any response to Staff), they will be sent to the Orphanage for someone else to take. Staff will email and PM the member asking them if they plan on returning and if no response is received, that character will be reopened.
Please respect each other and tolerate the opinions of other users of this site. Do not become offensive if there is any disagreement and please, if there is a problem with another user, try to solve that alone first, before contacting an admin for help. We all want to keep this board as friendly and drama-free as possible, so we would appreciate it if you would treat all members with respect, even if you don't like them.
Do not take things personally that are said IN character. You can get into fights in a topic, but please don't take those seriously or personally, nor make them personal for the other side. Cursing it allowed, but keep it reasonable.
Please talk to the staff! We are around in case you have any concerns, problems or questions. We promise we don't bite!
I do not tolerate any kind of Spamming or those spam shopping advertisements on this forum. So, in turn of recent events, from now on every new user can only be activated by an Administrator.

Posting Rules

Please keep OOC and IC relationships separate!
All posting must be in third person past tense. It’s easier to understand what’s going on if we all post the same.
Translation is your friend! If you're going to post in a language other than English, please post a translation note underneath. Non-English words that are known well (eg. voilà, ciao, etc) obviously don't need a translation, but please use your common sense.
If you're going to take a canon character, make sure you know them well enough to keep their posts in character. If the admins notice a canon character played OOC, the character will be taken off you and put up for grabs.
We do not have a word count here. All we ask is that you try to match the post length of the person above you in the thread. Please refrain from one sentence replies; it makes RP-ing more fun and easier.
Any villainous acts should first be discussed with the people that are involved in that thread. Example: If Warrick is going to trap Nick in the morgue for the day, he should first discuss that with Nick's owner and anyone else that might effected by it. No power should be used against a character without prior permission.
Any thread with no activity will be locked and moved after an extended period of time. If you would like that thread reopened, please PM the staff.
Do not create a character related to someone in any way (sibling, partner, child, etc) without asking that person first. If the person you want your character to date is not currently registered, label your character as single until they are registered.
Same-sex relationships are more than welcome. No homophobia (or any other discrimination for that matter) will be tolerated. Sexualities of canon characters may be changed slightly (i.e. from heterosexual to bisexual). On the note of relationships: if you want your character to get together with a character, a good idea is to talk to the owner of them first.
Please attempt to use proper grammar and spelling. I fully understand that for most, English is not a first language; mistakes will be made and that's fine. However please try as this makes it easier for everyone involved when reading and replying. I'm not going to be insanely teacher-like over this rule, however please remember: run-on sentences are evil. Do not use them!!
Last but not least: HAVE FUN!

Although we have no set age rule, we reccomend that you reconsider joining if you cannot handle adult themes, language and maturity, especially if you are under the age of 16. Failure to comply to these rules will result in either a ban for a set period of time or a complete deletion of your character.

IMPORTANT: CSIs on this forum work the graveyard shift, which means that they work at night. Since I couldn't decided which shift exactly, I've decided that your characters can choose between two different shifts.
CSIs work either from 10 PM - 6.30 AM or from Midnight until 8.00 AM.
