Personality:
Lexi has a bright and cheerful personality, always thinking positive and knowing exactly what she can do and what she can't do. She lives by the motto 'I can do anything'. Usually she is serious and ambitious though. Lexi was affected by her time in the Australian Navy. She is very reliable, has strict manners and is always on time. On time meaning at least 5 minutes early. She does her job conscientiously and knows to take responsibility for her own actions. She is gladly willing to accept any consequences if she did something wrong. Lexi picks up new things quite fast.

On the other side, Lexi was drawn to the opposite side of the law in her late teenage years. She didn't really like what she was doing, but she dealt with the consequences of that as well. Lexi gets frustrated easily if things don't go according to plan. She is somewhat shy and uncertain of herself when approaching a man she likes. Despite growing up in Australia, where spiders and scorpios are a common thing, Lexi has great fear of spiders. Lexi thinks it's because she was bitten by a funnelweb spider when she was little.

History:
Lexi was born in Sydney, November 16, 1988 as the result of a one-night-stand between her mother Olivia Martin and her father, Navy Officer Ryan Donovan.
Olivia was a party girl, working as an escort and the night she met Ryan, she was off work, trying to find someone to spend the night with. However, meeting Ryan was different than the guys she usually went home with. They had a sexual relationship for the time that Ryan was in Sydney. His ship left a couple of days after their meeting and the two lost contact, so Ryan never knew of his daughter Lexi, until 16 years later.

Even though Olivia worked as an escort, being paid to accompany men, even have sex with them, Lexi was loved and well cared for. But ten years after she was born, things changed. Olivia got too old to work as an escort and on top of that she had a drug and alcohol problem. She kept it well hidden for years, but when Alexis was 12, the young girl once found her mother knocked out by drugs and booze in the bedroom. That terrified the young girl.
After that event, Olivia went into rehab, while Lexi was staying at a friend's house for the time being. Lexi didn't have any grandparents, since Olivia's parents died when she was a teenager. Things were okay again for three years, then when Lexi was 15, Olivia had a relapse and having no real job anymore, except for having sex with some of her regulars from her escort time, Alexis had to get a job to support them.

When she was 16, Alexis went through a box of photographs and found a picture of her and Ryan clipped to her birth certificate. Lexi confronted her mother about it and was told how Ryan and Olivia met and how Alexis was his daughter. All that Olivia could tell Lexi was his name and job: Navy Officer Ryan Donovan.

Wanting to find her father, the teenager started investigating and soon found out that Ryan was now Lieutenant with the Royal Australian Navy and that his ship was habored in Sydney for some time, so Lexi went to find him.
Of course, even though everyone could see similarities, Ryan was sceptical of the young woman's claim. But he agreed to a paternity test, which then showed that he really was Alexis' father. Things were complicated though: he had never found Olivia again, so he had found another woman, was now married with two children of his own, fraternal twins Kylie and Kayla. But they kept in touch and when Ryan was back in Sydney 6 months later, he introduced Alexis to his wife and daughters, who were 11 at that time. Although Lexi had feared they might not like her, they got along just fine and she came to really love her father and her half-sisters.

She would soon find out, that it was a good thing that she found him, because a when Lexi was 17, her mother OD and died in the hospital. Lexi was devastated and during her time of great grief, she ran with the wrong crowds and did some illegal things, which she was then caught by the police. By that time Ryan and his family had taken Lexi in to live with them after Olivia died.

Not wanting to see his daughter in prison, Ryan pulled some strings and arranged for Alexis to join the Navy for basic training and one mission to keep her out of jail. Surprisingly, Alexis agreed to the deal, being ashamed of herself. So, as soon as she turned 18 and graduated from High School, Lexi joined the Royal Australian Navy and was trained to become a sailor.
Lexi stayed with the Navy For three years, then her father retired from the Navy and became a teacher at the Navy Academy in New York, where he originally was from. So, after twenty years of living in Sydney, Ryan and his family moved to the US.

To be near her family Lexi moved to the US as well, first staying with her family in New York, but a year later, she moved to Las Vegas, where she had met a nice guy. At that time she was also practicing Zen Do Kai and participated in tournaments. At one of those tournaments she met Det. Helena Coleman, fought against her and won. The two women stayed in touch, because friends over the time.
Then, when Nicole opened her studio in Vegas, she applied to the job offer and became a Martial Arts instructor at the studio.

Alexis is a very talented Zen Do Kai practitioner and also a talented Samurai. She has started her training with the Katana when she joined the Navy and after meeting Helena, she joined the group who was training, combining the skills of the Martial Arts with their swordsmanship. Lexi practices regularly.

It is better to be defeated on principle than to win on lies.
